Latest News: 28/7/16 - Saturday trial service to Bideford & Barnstaple. Due to popular demand we are offering a trial service to Bideford and Barnstaple on Saturday 17 September and again on Saturday 15 October 2016. The Barnstaple service will leave Tavistock at 0910 and arrive in Barnstaple by 1111. Return to Tavistock is by 1758 leaving Barnstaple at 1600. The route will take in Hatherleigh, RHS Rosemoor, Torrington, Bideford and Barnstaple. A single adult fare will be £5.30 and concessionary passes can be used. The normal booking system will apply and you can book seats up to one month before the day of travel. If these services attract enough passengers we hope to include the Barnstaple service in our summer timetable next year. The full timetable is listed in the Saturdays section of the website.

23/6/16 - Booking is now available for up to 8 seats on the Saturday and Wednesday services, and can be made regardless of where you live. The booking can be made up to one month before the day of travel, and bus passes can be used. Call 07580 260683 or email tavistockbus@gmail.com to book.

1/3/16 - New timetables published.

Our services operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday when we collect passengers from areas of Tavistock and transport them into Bedford Square.

We also run a service to Trago and Newton Abbot every first and third Wednesday in every month. (See the WEEKDAYS section on how to book this Wednesday service.)

Throughout the year on Saturdays, we have services that travel to Exeter on the first Saturday and Truro on the second Saturday of each month. During the summer months (March to October inc.), we travel to Paignton and Torquay on the fourth Saturday and to Dawlish on every fifth Saturday where there is one in the month. (See the timetables for details and the SATURDAYS section for how to book these Saturday services.)

As a section 22 operator, we are obliged to accept concession bus passes on all our services. Also, section 22 rules mean that we have to run our services as advertised, even if we have no passengers on board.
